The HoverCam Solo 8Plus is the world's best document (Solo 8) camera that just got better. It is faster, has higher resolution, stunning video quality, and a much more powerful zoom using patented ASR technology. The Solo 8Plus exciting new features and cutting edge controls have never been seen before in a USB document camera.

The new UVC processor chipset and electronic imaging components features deliver ultra-high definition video over SuperSpeed USB 3.0 and the older USB 2.0 standard at 30 frames/second. The Solo 8Plus is the only camera that can truly deliver the sensor's full 13 MegaPixel resolution in every video frame, which is equivalent to 4K resolution. It has a flexible arm for recording from nearly any angle and can record time lapse and slow motion video. The image is resized in real-time to adapt to the screen's display resolution. True 13MP clarity or resolution is being delivered at a 30 frames-per-second speed. Over USB 3.0, we deliver uncompressed YUV video @ 30fps. Over USB2.0, the video is lightly compressed MJPEG @ 30fps.

The Solo 8Plus advanced electronics are paired with meticulous craftsmanship and well thought out design. Five pivot points allow the camera to be pointed in any direction, raised to shoot large areas, lowered for close-ups and folded for compactness. A swivel lens allows for 90° rotation for image orientation.

A single USB 3.0 cable is the only thing needed to power the Solo 8Plus. This gives you the convenience of plug-and-play simplicity. The Solo 8Plus uses less than 5 volts, which is within the maximum power of USB 2.0 and only half the power of USB 3.0.
