The HoverCam AS1 Air Station I has the ability to move around the room which is especially of interest to teachers. The AirStation I can now be brought to a student's desk to display his or her work for the class. It displays live video on PC, Mac, iPad or Android Tablet. You can annotate on a tablet or PC to create highly interactive classroom presentations.
Use your iPad, to easily view, annotate and control your HoverCam from afar. The AirStation I comes with a built-in rechargeable battery that allows your HoverCam to be fully mobile for approximately 3 hours of teaching.
Simply a plug-n-play device with perfect out-of-the-box functionality
The Air Station I is lightweight, small, and can accompany any HoverCam document camera anywhere you go. It has a range of around 30 feet, which allows someone to wirelessly access his or her document camera from anywhere in the room. No software is required to use the Air Station I; it is simply a plug-n-play device with perfect out-of-the-box functionality. You do not need to set anything up; you just need to plug the HoverCam document camera in and go.
How it Works
![]()
The AirStation I has a built-in USB host controller, which allows a connection from a Solo 5, Mini 5 or Neo 3's USB output to be processed in the same fashion as if it were connected to a computer. The AirStation's WiFi antenna then takes theUSB video stream from the HoverCam, and relays it onto your iPad where you have ultimate control.
How it Works with App
![]()
HoverCam developed a dedicated app called DashTop, that can be downloaded from the iTunes App Store for free. DashTop displays a live video stream from the AirStation when both the iPad and the AirStation are connected to the wireless LAN in the classroom.
Through DashTop, you will be able to annotate in multiple colors, pinch-to-zoom, pan, take snapshots and more. To project your presentation onto a big screen, simply connect your iPad to a projector or a TV with the use of an adapter.
