Touchboards is proud to announce the latest and greatest ELMO document camera. The TX-1 is the latest interpretation of Elmo's award winning TT (Teachers Tool) series of Document Cameras. There over one million TT series units in classrooms just in the USA, making them the most popular Document Cameras ever made. ELMO has raised the bar with the new TX-1 and this has replaced the TT-12id model. This new camera has a wireless hotspot built in so you can connect to, and display on, your wireless devices.
The TX-1 is backed by Elmo's industry leading 5 year parts and labor warranty.
ELMO is the world’s largest document camera manufacturer for a good reason. They make quality products that have been designed by teachers and the optics can’t be beat. While many camera companies use cheap plastic lenses, ELMO painstakingly grinds glass in their own factory to ensure you get amazing clarity. If you are simply shopping on “specs” then you are not giving this camera the credit it deserves.
The TX-1 was engineered to fit into the modern technology enabled classroom. This unit features Elmo's legendary image quality with full 1080P HD resolution.
This new unit features an Elmo designed and built all glass 12X optical zoom lens for superior detail and color quality. The new TX-1 is designed for ease of use by both instructors and students alike. It is rugged and can handle rigors of classroom use.
ELMO TX-1 is the first Wi-Fi visualiser by ELMO. It can be placed anywhere in the room and will send the image over wifi to the instructors PC eliminating cables running across the floor. The Wi-Fi can be set-up in two different ways. Either you log in into an existing wireless network or the camera builds its own network where you can log in with your Windows tablet. In combination with the interactive communication box CRI-1, the visualizer`s image can be seen on up to 56 devices.
Compared to the TT-12iD, the new unit features streamlined operating controls and menu interface. The TX-1 also have a larger working area under the lens so big objects are easier to display. For anyone that has used an Elmo in the past the new units will feel familiar and are simple to use.
Auto select makes it easier than ever to hook the ELMO up. Plug in your selected cable (hdmi, vga or usb) and you are ready to go! It recognizes the output cable and you don't have to use any switched or open any menu.
Another nice addition over the TT-12id is that no additional anti-theft bracket is needed. It is built into the base of the TX-1 in the event that you want to bolt the camera to the table.
ELMO has taken the time to improve on the earlier generation TT-12iD. Below are a few of the top advantages the TX-1 has over is predecessor the TT-12iD.
How is the Elmo LX-1 different from the TX-1?

I have this question too (0)
The TX-1 is the wireless version, otherwise it is the same. The TX-1 adds a wifi hotspot that would allow you to wirelessly connect a Windows device and control the camera through the new ImageMate software. You can also connect it to an existing network so the image can be view on devices connected to that network.

How are the new LX-1/TX-1 cameras different from the previous generation TT-12id?
The new cameras are slimmed down and faster. They have a smaller base than the TT-12id and the video inputs, USB-A, and SD Card ports have been removed. The camera sensor and lens have remained the same, but image processing is much faster on the new models, which can give you 30fps at 1080p resolution. The TT-12id couldn''t do that.
The TX-1 is also wireless, adding a wifi hotspot that would allow you to wirelessly connect a Windows device and control the camera through the new ImageMate software. You can also connect it to an existing network so the image can be view on devices connected to that network.
